Sirenda, back to the top

Do you also hate Outlook meeting reminders?

Next to the question is a recreated Outlook reminder window that keeps multiplying. It lists reminders for meetings that ended days ago, four days overdue, and offers to snooze for 0 minutes before start.

You said yes.You said it's fine.

Us too.So we built a siren for your agenda: Sirenda.

OK.But it could be more fun, right?

So we built a siren for your agenda: Sirenda.

For macOS 14 or later.

The problem

Outlook reminders let you down.

Click Me too on the ones you know.

  1. Sometimes it just doesn't remind you. Outlook is random. 🫠

Sirenda doesn't miss a single meeting.
  2. Still reminding you about last week's meeting 🤦

Sirenda doesn't remind you you're late for a week-old meeting.
  3. It opens behind your other windows. You never see it. 🙄

    Sirenda lights up your screen.
  4. Your real meeting reminder: a coworker asking "Are you joining?" 😬

Sirenda shows who's waiting for you.
  5. Click Join. Wait for the browser. Click "Open Zoom". Wait again. You're late. 😤

    Sirenda joins in one click.
  6. You dismiss it once. It never reminds you again. 😩

At start time, Sirenda turns red and stays red until you join.
  7. It reminds you to join the meeting you're already in. 🙃

    Sirenda stops once you join.

Sirens

A siren is a reminder you can't miss.

It's an animation that takes over your screen before a meeting. It grows bigger and bolder as the start time gets closer.

A glowing border with a countdown bar that closes at start time.At start time it turns red, and it stays on until you join.

What it looks like

Sirens can be customized and follow rules.

Pick a siren for each kind of meeting. A siren can show the meeting name, the time left, or who's waiting.

  • Meetings with a clientBig countdown with the meeting name
  • 1:1 meetingsShows who's waiting
  • Everything elseA soft edge glow

A 1:1 siren after the start time.

One-click Join

One click. You're in.

The Outlook way

Clock reads 9:00:00

  1. Find the invite in Outlook. Open it.
  2. Click the Zoom link.
  3. Wait for the browser.
  4. The browser asks "Open zoom.us?" Click Open.
  5. A launcher page opens. Click "Launch Meeting".
  6. Wait again.
  7. Zoom opens. You're late.

With Sirenda

Clock reads 9:00:00

  1. Click Join Zoom in the alert.
  2. Zoom opens the meeting.

You're in at 9:00. On time.

It opens in the Zoom app, without a browser tab or an "Open zoom.us?" prompt.

The countdown

The last 10 minutes before a meeting.

  1. 9:50

A countdown in your menu bar.

Ten minutes before the meeting, the time left appears next to the beacon. There's no pop-up yet.

  2. 9:58

Two minutes before, the lights come on.

Your screen glows orange and the beacon starts turning.

  3. 10:00

At start time, it turns red.

If you're not in yet, the screen turns red and the Join button is right there.

Sirenda can also join for you at start time. Turn it on in Settings.

  4. 10:01

    You join. It stops.

Sirenda checks your call windows, the meeting ID and the time. Once you're in the right meeting, the siren stops by itself.

For in-person meetings, click I joined.

  5. 10:55

    Back-to-back meetings get a wrap-up nudge.

Five minutes before a meeting ends, if the next one starts right after it, Sirenda tells you to wrap up. The color is softer and the beacon doesn't turn.
